MS Sovereign was formerly operated by Royal Caribbean International as Sovereign of the Seas. The Sovereign is a cruise ship, historically present at the port of Civitavecchia. It was built in 1988 by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire. At the time of construction was the largest passenger vessel in the world and the largest cruise ship ever built

From January 2009, the ship is currently one of the 3 large Sovereign-class vessels operated by Pullmantur Cruises (the Spanish brand of the Royal Caribbean company).
