Tour Highlights

Orvieto is an incredible place, it has one of the most amazing Domes of Italy, whose marvelous façade, it carved like a miniature shines polychrome marble and mosaics monopolizing the attention for the purity of its lines. Inside you can admire the masterpieces by Luca Signorelli, who painted The Stories of the End of the World, the Resurrection of the Flesh, The Chosen and The Reprobi, and a spectacular universal judgment in the Chapel of San Brizio, while Beato Angelico has decorated with angels sails of the ceiling. Begun in 1290, the construction of the Cathedral lasted for several centuries.

To appreciate the exceptional panoramic views of the city, it is worth to climb on top of the thirteenth century Torre del Moro, the highest point and center of Orvieto, which the view gets lost between the green horizon that surrounds it.

Civita di Bagnoregio, nicknamed the dying city, because of the steady erosion of the tuff rock on which it stands, this citadel halfway between Orvieto and Lake Bolsena has Etruscan and medieval origins. Suspended in time and space, Civita di Bagnoregio is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Italian villages.

The village of Civita di Bagnoregio, today is a very small town where time seems to stand still, accessible only by foot. During foggy days, this incredible town, seems literally suspended in space!

*To cross the bridge and reach the village it is necessary to pay a ticket of € 1.50 per person.
